One True Faith

A single path

Back in Creator Deities, I shared a little bit about what my personal religio-spiritual beliefs were regarding my deities and I thought I would continue that thought here by talking about the existence of One True Faith.

Short version is: I don’t believe in one true faith.

Long version is: I don’t believe in one true faith, which means that I don’t think my deities are the only ones out there that provide a valid path for spirituality. I also believe there is a Christian God, a Muslim God, the Nordic Pantheon, Native American Gods, and Aboriginal deities. I believe that you get to choose any spirituality that you want and, IF you choose to follow a god, then you fall under that God’s dominion. But it is possible for you to call on other gods and gain their favor or attention. You are also free to connect to the Universal Spiritual Energy as well and bypass all the gods if you want.

It means that for one ritual, you can call on Athena, and for another you can call on Amen-Ra and that’s okay. It works. Just because they aren’t in the same pantheon doesn’t mean they can’t interact with each other. You can also choose to grab hold of energy and work it all on your own if you want.

I believe in fairies, ghosts, goblins, dragons, oni, angels, devils, guides, guardians, and elemental spirits. I believe you can talk to the wind and Archangel Michael in the same day and there’s no conflict between the two.

Some gods, like people, don’t like to work with other gods. This is particularly true when talking to Vooduon loas. Some gods are jealous and like to be the only ones, but they aren’t.

So now I’d like to ask you: How do you feel about the other faith paths? Are people chasing dreams who don’t agree with you, or do all roads lead to Rome?
