Goodbye, Facebook!

Hey, folks! If you’ve been following me over on my Facebook page, you may have noticed that I’ve been silent for the last couple weeks – and that’s true! I’ve been working on getting off Facebook for the last year or so and have been talking about it a lot more the last couple months, and, in fact, was going to leave entirely back in January but did not because of We Witches Three. Since I left We Witches Three, there isn’t much reason for me to keep myself tied to a Social Media platform that not only isn’t in alignment with my values, but which I also hate to use.

So I’ve deactivated my Facebook account, but not yet deleted it, just in case it turns out I really need it, so we’ll see how that goes for the next couple months. I’m still on Instagram for now (I know Facebook owns it now, and that one is next on my list!) and still over on Twitter (I actually really love Twitter, but I am DEFINITELY not business-only over there) if you want to hang out. You can also find me on my Discord server, too, and technically I’m on Elpha and Tree-Sisters, too, a couple much smaller, more intimate, and niche social networkers that are DEFINITELY worth checking out!

I’m going to be a lot better about posting things here on the website instead of on socials, so you’ll be getting those notifications (if you’re signed up on the mailing list) in your email box. This will include things like the Full Moon Community Candle (#CrowSongCandle on Instagram!) that we do every month! I didn’t realize I needed to do this on this last full moon, and I apologize for that.

Also, for myself, because mailing list emails are super annoying and my email box gets overloaded, I have been subscribing to my favorite websites through Bloglovin’ – it’s sort of like a easier to navigate version of old RSS feeds, so I can go to one site and read all my favorite website’s blog posts without have to wade through my email inbox to do it. So I can sit down and just read what everyone is up to all at once when I’m in that “reading” mood.

So, there we go! Also, I think technically my Tumblr is still active and these blog posts are going over there? So if that’s your preference, have at it!
