• We Witches Three

It was a good run, but it’s over now.

The notices went out on social media – Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter at the beginning of March, but in case you didn’t hear, I left the We Witches Three podcast over some in-fighting, differences of opinion, and good old silent treatment back at the beginning of March. My original notification on social media was a bit more vague, but the other gals decided to be a bit more candid, so there’s no reason to hold my tongue at this point anymore. From what I’ve heard, they aren’t continuing the podcast, but once I told them I was leaving, there wasn’t a lot of communication between us and I’ve heard different…

    Interview with Lisa Chamberlain

I am SO excited that not only did Lisa Chamberlain reach out to me before, but we've been able to chat a little (I have learned so much!) and she even agreed to doing an interview for the site!

I Have Been Contacted by Lisa Chamberlain – and May Have Found the Re-Spin Seed – Part 3

I have been contacted via email by Lisa Chamberlain! (This is Part 3 of what I GUESS is a series, now – here is Part 1 and here is Part 2) This is super exciting because this means that she’s a real person and that’s all we really want right now – a real, genuine author behind the books. She has let us know that she is a very private person and has had issues having interviews done, but here is one from 2017 that she generously shared with us! She also shared that she has a new multi-book publishing contract with Sterling Publishing, which is really exciting as well! It looks like…

    Season of the Witch

There have been a lot of articles coming out (and even a few books) about the recent rise or resurgence of the witch in society as well as popular and social media. Is it a trend? Is it a lifestyle? Is it a culture, religion, practice, skillset, identity, political statement, or something far more nefarious? Is it a joke? What IS a witch, what do “real witches” think, and should we be alarmed? If so, who should be and why? These topics (and so many mores) are bouncing around various internet communities (witch-focused and otherwise) and it’s been fascinating to watch this discussion happen.  This isn’t the first time that…

October Full Moon Community Candle is Lit!

I lit the Full Moon Community Candle tonight for October’s Hunter’s Moon. It’s BEAUTIFUL outside tonight and the weather is absolutely perfect. I couldn’t want for a better full moon at all. This month, I actually took step-by-step progress pictures of the full moon candle because I’m not sure I have ever shared what-all is included here. Step 1 – Prayers and Wishes Through out the week leading up to the full moon, I collect wishes from folks who want to be included. Each person receives their own paper, folded in half, with their name(s) and wish listed on it. As I prepare the candle in the afternoon before lighting…

Quick Tip – The Dark Moon

The Dark Moon and the New Moon are two different things, although in most books and calendars, only the New Moon is indicated. The night of the month where the moon is entirely dark is actually the “Dark Moon” (which is called the “new moon” on most calendars) and the first night where the moon is illuminated again is the “New Moon.” A lot of people believe that you shouldn’t do magic or energy work at all on the Dark Moon, and that’s okay if you’re more comfortable that way. But this time is optimal for doing internal work, doing things you wish to keep secret, or for doing things that are…

    Different Grounding Exercise

So, we’re used to the usual grounding exercises – imagine roots growing into the ground and your branches rising to the sky. Or maybe a beam of light that comes into the top of your head (crown chakra) and out your tailbone (root chakra) or feet. Or maybe you prefer earthing – just walking around barefoot, sitting with a tree or playing with stones, rocks, or working in your garden. These are all awesome and they can be SO helpful! But something fun I’ve done since I was a wee one that can be expanded a bit (I just left the deserts of Arizona, and after awhile, that tree imagery…

    Magical Sigils by Fairuza Balk

Hallo again! So, a few weeks ago I featured a wonderful Sigil artist here on the blog… and then to come find out that this artist I have been following has recently started creating her own sigils as well! They’re really very beautiful and I think you will find a lot of power in them. And you may remember her from her other artistic endeavors as well! Please check out her shop here: https://www.fairuza.org/store#!/Original-Drawings-by-Fairuza/c/21483891   PS – she doesn’t remember me, but we’re cousins! Haha!

The Witch’s Jar – Good and Bad

Hallo all! So, I was thinking about this after writing my last piece on the cleansing and blessing rituals I enjoy for Samhain. For those of you unfamiliar with the Witch’s Jar, let me tell you about it. It’s a curse where you take odious things, such as urine, feces, rusty nails, broken glass, and noxious substances, a photo of your target, a baneful wish for them, and place them all in a jar. Before sealing the lid, you speak your ill wishes for them into the jar, then seal it up – not just by placing the lid on it, but buy wrapping it in plastic, duct tape, or…

    Another Interview – Candle Magick!

Good evening, everyone! Wow, I am TOTALLY pumped up! I just had a great interview with Tricia Dycka about Candle Magick and am reminded how much I absolutely LOVE doing magick! I think I’m going to start something personal just for me tonight. I did a group candle for Personal Success a couple weeks ago and that went really well, although there was a lot of wax left at the bottom, which indicates unfinished business. So I’ll probably be burning another one soon. If you don’t want to miss it, like my Facebook page to find out when I burn them! Anyways, Tricia and I had a great interview and…
