    Get Up, Stand Up

Hey Folks, so today let’s talk about community. Little communities, like our Pagan and Witchy community, and also BIG communities, like America and Society in general. We’re going to talk about social justice, politics, current events, Ruth Bader Ginsberg (I say “RGB” but I know it’s “RBG”), Christian Dominionism, the Christian Default, the Satanic Temple, Civil Rights, White Supremacy outside and INSIDE the Pagan community, and probably some other stuff, too! Here’s some further reading: Satanic Temple Legal Campaigns: https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/campaigns A Beginner’s Guide to Christian Dominionism by Chrissy Stroop:https://cstroop.com/2019/09/06/christian-dominionism-a-beginners-guide

I Have Been Contacted by Lisa Chamberlain – and May Have Found the Re-Spin Seed – Part 3

I have been contacted via email by Lisa Chamberlain! (This is Part 3 of what I GUESS is a series, now – here is Part 1 and here is Part 2) This is super exciting because this means that she’s a real person and that’s all we really want right now – a real, genuine author behind the books. She has let us know that she is a very private person and has had issues having interviews done, but here is one from 2017 that she generously shared with us! She also shared that she has a new multi-book publishing contract with Sterling Publishing, which is really exciting as well! It looks like…

🌎 Cultural Appropriation in the Witchcraft Community 🔮🧹

Trigger Warning: Racism and Violence This podcast episode was requested back when we did our “Hoodwitch’s Smashbox Collection, Kat von D’s Tarot Debacle, and Instawitch Kits!” where we also discussed the proposed Sephora Starter Witch Kit (that was never released), and so, after much worrying over perfection, it’s finally here! This is a solo episode from Nathara since she’s the one that’s been hip-deep in the topic of cultural appropriation for the last decade or so. We’re going to talk about the foundations of modern witchcraft, the use of sage and smudging, Burning Man festivals, and so much more!  And here are some resources just for you: “What is Cultural…

October Full Moon Community Candle is Lit!

I lit the Full Moon Community Candle tonight for October’s Hunter’s Moon. It’s BEAUTIFUL outside tonight and the weather is absolutely perfect. I couldn’t want for a better full moon at all. This month, I actually took step-by-step progress pictures of the full moon candle because I’m not sure I have ever shared what-all is included here. Step 1 – Prayers and Wishes Through out the week leading up to the full moon, I collect wishes from folks who want to be included. Each person receives their own paper, folded in half, with their name(s) and wish listed on it. As I prepare the candle in the afternoon before lighting…

Quick Tip – The Dark Moon

The Dark Moon and the New Moon are two different things, although in most books and calendars, only the New Moon is indicated. The night of the month where the moon is entirely dark is actually the “Dark Moon” (which is called the “new moon” on most calendars) and the first night where the moon is illuminated again is the “New Moon.” A lot of people believe that you shouldn’t do magic or energy work at all on the Dark Moon, and that’s okay if you’re more comfortable that way. But this time is optimal for doing internal work, doing things you wish to keep secret, or for doing things that are…
