My Background, My Bias
A little bit rambly today. Quick Tip – The Dark Moon
The Dark Moon and the New Moon are two different things, although in most books and calendars, only the New Moon is indicated. There’s a false idea that meditation is about EMPTYING your mind, and it’s not – it’s about focusing your mind. Focus on something – whatever, I don’t care. If it’s your favorite song, that counts. If it’s your favorite physical activity, that counts. If it’s your favorite movie, totally counts! Your favorite daydream or fantasy, yup, yup! It’s in! Even if you are just actively observing all the little sounds, feelings, smells, and stimulus going on around you, that counts. Different Grounding Exercise
So, we’re used to the usual grounding exercises – imagine roots growing into the ground and your branches rising to the sky. Or maybe a beam of light that comes into the top of your head (crown chakra) and out your tailbone (root chakra) or feet.
